Cast the stone
And force the ripples
Into a sea of black.
A golden coin
to pay the boatman
To ferry my way.
Time stands still for no one,
As the flesh world fades away,
I give up on all belonging to me.
Where has it all gone?
Nothing remains.
Stand upon the images reflecting me.
How could I avoid this eternity
Laid out before me?
Bury your dead,
Nothing here remains,
Eye for an eye,
The laws of man.
The underworld replete with souls,
Haggard visages stare hollow
As I walk into perdition.
My form crumbles into dust,
As flames consume my bones,
To see the burning king
Upon his burning throne.
The stygian river beckons us,
A chiding death knell,
The woeful voice of fate
Resounds throughout hell.
How could I avoid this eternity
Laid out before me?
Bury your dead,
Nothing here remains,
Eye for an eye,
The grand design.
Haros has seen the font of man,
And found it wanting.
Abominations in the eyes of the gods.
Heretics, idolaters,
Stand oppressed within the circles
The apex of sickness enshrined.
An eruption of fury
As the gates of hell are opened.
The demons let loose,
To terrorize the human world.
An end to humanity,
Fulfilling the prophecy,
The burden of Charon
Shall never be eased.
Bury your dead,
Nothing here remains,
Damned to wander the shores.
Eye for an eye.
Legit the only thing wrong with this album is that it is far too short. I would love an album like this that's twice as long! Oh well, maybe I'll just listen to it twice haha
(also just editing this for my vinyl friends, it doesn't say anywhere on the record, but this one plays at 45 rpm. Had a bit of a spook when it sounded a lot slower than I remembered lol) danielkrause
